The finished look should have an even, symmetrical color.

While the idea of lining lips seems simple, there are a few helpful tips to keep in mind. Before you add your favorite lip color (like our Crushed Lip Color), use Lip Pencil to help define your lip shape, starting at the highest point of your Cupid’s bow. Draw the line using short, feathery strokes along your natural lip line. Once you’ve finished outlining your lip shape, apply your lip color. 

Long-wearing lipstick has its benefits but is often more challenging to remove than other lipstick styles. While there are various products for removing lipstick, a lipstick remover like our Instant Long-Wear Makeup Remover is one of the simplest ways to take off lipstick. Apply lipstick remover directly on the lips and gently wipe it off with a cotton pad to remove the lip color. When finished, rinse lips with warm water. 

Lip gloss and tinted lip gloss are popular, and the wear can depend on the formula. Lip gloss is often applied to the lips with a brush or wand. The tints in tinted lip gloss range from sheer washes of color to full pigmentation similar to lipstick shades. 

Lip tint, which can be either water-based or oil-based, is different from lipstick, lip gloss, and lip lacquer. Rather than deliver direct color, tint gives the lips a natural-looking stain.
